I am a student at the University of Antwerp, currently studying the Master in Computer Science: Software Engineering with option Research.
This webpage contains the details of my Research Internship and Master Thesis under the supervision of professor Hans Vangheluwe of the Modelling, Simulation and Design Lab (MSDL).

The project I am working on uses the DEVS formalism to create mathematical models of low-level (generic) "building blocks", which can be used in Domain-Specific, Real-Time simulations. By combining these generic building blocks, a group of higher-level domain-specific blocks can be created. From there, a Python implementation will be called into life, which has been named DBBL (DEVS Building Block Library). DBBL is built on top of the PythonPDEVS kernel.

The target of this project is to show that it is possible to use DEVS as a basis for a Digital-First Digital Twin.
